An intensive three-day introductory course covering all aspects of tailoring and making clothes, with a focus on tops and skirts. 

Course summary

This course will teach students all the basic skills of dressmaking. You learn the processes of garment constructions, laying patterns, methods of production and how to identify different types of commercial patterns.  At the end of the course you would able to make both basic skirts and simple tops, and will have learnt the skills required to attempt more complex projects.

  • Students can choose to bring their own sewing machine or choose to use one of our own

  • Materials and threads will be provided but students can bring their own as required

  • Students must pre-book online

  • Payment plans can be arranged, please contact us to discuss

  • Fees are non-refundable although should students be unable to attend they should contact the school in advance and arrange to attend the course on a future date
