The Catwalk Fashion Training Centre is designed to get you started in the world of fashion and tailoring.

We offer unique practical training courses where you will:

learn essential dressmaking and tailoring skills

gain advice on how to make money from the skills you learn, and

see your handiwork come to life in an exciting annual catwalk fashion show

Our courses take place in a working fashion studio in Camberwell, London.

Our mission is to use fashion and tailoring as a means to empower our students. Our aim is to give students the know-how to make great clothes and the confidence to use these skills to build an income stream – whether this be through setting up their own tailoring business, earning money on a part time basis, or getting started in a larger fashion business.

Our tutors have been fortunate to make a successful living in the fashion sector and want to pass on their learnings and skills to enable students to support their personal goals in life through dress-making, fashion and tailoring.

My name is Florence Margaret Edozie.

I was a student of London College of Fashion, where I learnt my trade as a dress maker and fashion designer.
Dressmaking for me is hereditary; dressmaking is what my great grandmother. The skills are part of our family heritage and now myself and my daughter work hand in hand. Our mission is to give back to the community by helping them develop skills that can make them successful.

Our students do not any qualifications to apply, and by time they graduate from our fashion training school they would be a different person completely, ready to take their new skills out into the world too.

I have run the Afro Design Fashion Centre for twenty-five years. During this time we have staged fashion shows, and taken part in various cultural shows, exhibiting cultural and modern design to the public. We have taken part in television shows, radio interviews and fashion presentations. I graduated from London South Bank University, in 2012 where I studied business administration.

If you’d like to learn new skills and get creative with making clothes, please join us.
